Can you play LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game in your browser?
Partly. Play! gets LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game into gameplay, but the tracker lists major bugs that prevent playing it through. Use our browser emulator. Keep in mind that the tracker covers Play! on every platform, and its browser version is described by the project as an experiment, so results in a browser can be worse than on a desktop.

Which LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game disc should you use?
The Play! tracker has one entry: the NTSC-U disc, serial SLUS-21083, reported as In-game. It was tested on August 4, 2019, on build version 0.30-e6771f6a. The tester's notes list texture glitches and say the gameplay is acceptable. The issue also carries the tracker's fmacstall label and was last updated on August 5, 2019.
No PAL or Japanese discs are listed, so the tracker offers nothing to compare them with. If you are picking a disc, the NTSC-U one has a report that reaches gameplay but is not marked Playable. Browser results may be worse than what a tracker covering Play! on all platforms shows.

About LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game (PS2)
Lego Star Wars: The Video Game is a 2005 action-adventure built around the Lego Star Wars line of construction toys. Traveller's Tales made it, and it was the first of the Lego video games that the studio went on to develop. Eidos Interactive and Giant Interactive Entertainment published it. It retells the prequel trilogy, starting with The Phantom Menace, then Attack of the Clones, and ending on Revenge of the Sith, plus one extra stage taken from A New Hope. The tone is a humorous Lego take on the films rather than a serious adaptation.
The PlayStation 2 version reached North America on March 29, 2005, and PAL regions on April 22. The game also appeared on Xbox, Windows, Game Boy Advance, Mac and GameCube. Wikipedia reports favorable reviews on every platform and a nomination in the Family Game of the Year category at the 9th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards. Worldwide sales were above 3.3 million units by March 2006 and 6.7 million by May 2009. In 2006 came Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, and a compilation called The Complete Saga followed in 2007.

How LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game plays
Play is geared toward families, and there is no game-over scenario. Each scene gives you a set group of characters drawn from a film, and up to two players can control them. Walking up to a friendly character switches you to that one, which matters because certain puzzles need another character's ability. Jedi and Sith can double-jump and use the Force, droids can open special doors, and some characters fit through tight gaps. On the PlayStation 2, as on other consoles, Wikipedia counts 56 playable characters.
Studs, the coin-like collectibles, serve as currency. You pick them up, smash objects for them or defeat enemies, and their value rises from silver to gold, blue and purple. A health meter holds four hearts, and losing them all breaks your character apart and costs studs instead of a life. Studs buy new characters for Free Play, plus hints and cheats. Minikit canisters hidden around each level combine into vehicles, and some segments have you flying a ship.
You begin with the first chapter of The Phantom Menace, after which the levels from the other two films can be played in the order you like. Dexter's Diner is the hub where you choose levels and visit the parking lot to view vehicles. Free Play lets you replay a cleared level with unlocked characters and switch between them to reach areas that story mode keeps closed. Only astromech droids speak, while everyone else mumbles.
