What the site provides
Nostalith publishes guides and compatibility information about playing PlayStation 2 games in a web browser, and offers a browser build of the open-source Play! emulator and a section of free browser games supplied by a game distributor (GameMonetize). The site is free to use and does not require an account.
Your responsibilities
- Only use the emulator with disc images of games you own and are entitled to use. Nostalith does not provide game files or BIOS files and does not tell you where to get them.
- You are responsible for following the laws that apply to you when you use the site and the emulator.
- Do not try to disrupt the site, overload it, or access parts of it that are not meant to be public.
Your files stay on your device
The emulator reads the disc image you select inside your browser. The file is not uploaded to us. Game saves are kept only in memory while the emulator page is open and are lost when you close or reload it; we do not keep a copy. See our privacy policy.
Third-party content
Compatibility data is summarized from the public Play! compatibility tracker, and game facts come from public sources linked on each page. Browser games are hosted and run by their distributor, which may show its own ads and has its own terms and privacy policy. Game names, box art and trademarks belong to their respective owners; see our copyright & takedown policy.
No guarantees
The site and the emulator are provided as they are. The Play! project describes its browser build as an experiment, and compatibility reports may not match what you see in your browser. We work to keep information accurate and up to date, but we cannot promise that every page is complete, correct or always available.

We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
