Meow Sudoku

Meow SudokuPuzzle

Think of this as sudoku with cats and colors. Each board is split into colored blocks, and you have to work out where every cat can sit without breaking the rules. There are no guesses to lean on, just deduction and a feel for how the space fits together. If you get stuck, power-ups can drop a cat in for you or rule out some blocks.

How to play Meow Sudoku

What we saw when we played Meow Sudoku

When we opened Meow Sudoku on October 15, 2026, on a desktop browser, the title screen showed a tilted board of colored squares in blue, green, yellow, red and purple, some holding black-and-white cat faces and some marked with a white X. The Meow Sudoku logo sat at top right, a large cartoon cat with a heart speech bubble at lower right, and a green TAP TO START button at the bottom.

After starting, the game switched to a dark screen with a small grid of muted blue, maroon and brown blocks. A white banner at the top read "Double tap a block to place a cat", and an animated hand pointed at one highlighted green block in the top row. There were buttons in the top corners for fullscreen and pause. Our extra clicks and key presses did not visibly change anything, so we did not see a cat placed or a level solved. The tutorial hint fits the game's own rules about placing cats so they do not touch, with one cat per row, column and color.

Meow Sudoku FAQ

How do you start Meow Sudoku?

Click the green TAP TO START button on the title screen. A tutorial grid follows, with a banner telling you to double tap a block to place a cat and a hand pointing at the block to use.

Is there a tutorial?

Yes. The first screen after the title showed a small grid, a pointing hand and the hint "Double tap a block to place a cat". It introduces placing a cat before the colored puzzles begin.

What are the rules?

The game's instructions say cats cannot touch each other, and each row, column and color can hold only one cat. Power-ups can place a cat instantly or reveal which color blocks you can discard.
