Can you play The Simpsons Game in your browser?
Yes, with a disc image you own. Play! reports The Simpsons Game as fully playable, and Play! runs in a browser. Use our browser emulator. Keep in mind that the tracker covers Play! on every platform, and its browser version is described by the project as an experiment, so results in a browser can be worse than on a desktop.

Which The Simpsons Game disc should you use?
The Play! tracker lists two discs for The Simpsons Game, both reported as Playable. The North American disc (SLUS-21665) was tested on 2023-05-18, with the note fully playable with good performance. The PAL disc (SLES-54905) was tested on 2024-04-27 and is reported as fully playable with good performance using Vulkan, while OpenGL has visual issues.
So either region is reported to work, and the PAL note matters if your setup uses OpenGL. Play! is tested on all platforms, so a browser, which the project calls only an experiment, may behave differently from these results.

How to play The Simpsons Game in your browser

The Simpsons Game controls in the browser emulator
Play!.js is played with the keyboard. Its default layout maps the PS2 controller like this; the browser build sets up no gamepad bindings by default. Click the game screen once before you start: the emulator listens for key presses on its game screen, so keys only register while it has focus.

About The Simpsons Game (PS2)
The Simpsons Game, a platform game from 2007, is based on the animated television series. EA Redwood Shores developed it and Electronic Arts published it, and Rebellion Developments co-developed the PlayStation 2 version. It came out in North America on October 30, 2007 and in Europe on November 2, 2007, and it was also released on several other systems. That was shortly following the theatrical film.
The plot is original and was written by regular Simpsons writers, including Tim Long and Matt Warburton. The family discovers that they are characters in a video game and receive superpowers to handle a series of situations. They end up confronting their creator, Matt Groening, and trying to rescue their 8-bit predecessors from Will Wright. Along the way the game parodies other video games, popular culture and even its own publisher.
Wikipedia says reception was mixed. Critics liked the visuals, the writing and the faithfulness to the show, but disliked the short length and a camera that did not always behave. At the 2007 Spike Video Game Awards it took the prize for best game adapted from a film or TV show, and four million copies had been sold by January 31, 2008.

How The Simpsons Game plays
You control members of the Simpson family, each with unique abilities. The game has sixteen levels, called episodes, and each one needs particular powers. In most levels two family members are playable. The tutorial level, The Land of Chocolate, uses only Homer, levels with Marge also make Maggie playable, and the final level lets you use the whole family. A two-player co-op mode with a split screen gives each player one of the two characters.
Homer can turn into a rolling ball by eating, shoot gummy grenades, become a fire-throwing pepper version or float with helium, and his special power is a burp that stuns enemies. Bart becomes Bartman to glide and climb, and uses a slingshot. Lisa kicks and uses the Hand of Buddha to move or smash objects. Marge commands crowds that break and build things, and Maggie squeezes into small spaces.
After the episodes are finished, extra challenges open, such as collecting every item for each character and finding all the video game clichés. The heads-up display shows health meters for both characters on screen plus an attack meter and a special power meter for the one you control.
